Apple-Based Automation Control Systems Showcasing at CES

An announcement has been made by Savant Systems LLC declaring that they are going to be presenting a media, automation and control system at CES 2012 in relation to Savant’s scalable SmartMedia answer, which is aimed at an extensive customer market section.  As well as managing security cameras, climate, lighting and more, the adaptable SmartMedia controller is going to be set up to show multi-zone audio, video distribution through the entire NextGen home and Savant’s ground-breaking on-TV control portal, TrueCommand.

Jim Carroll, General Manager of Residential Business at Savant, reported “As automation becomes available to a larger base of consumers, Savant is excited for the opportunity to demonstrate a powerful yet cost effective whole-home control and automation package at CES 2012.  We will have our newest and most exciting user interfaces there as well, including the Savant Select remote and our TrueControl(tm) apps for iPad(r), iPhone(r) and iPod touch integration.”

From basic source control to total two-way whole home automation, the Savant Select combines the well-known features of Apple’s most recent iPod touch with push buttons that are simple to use, making a smooth but effective home control interface.  Supporting Savant’s TrueCommand On-TV navigation and TrueControl iPod touch App, this effective smart remote provides the right balance of a 3.5″ color touchscreen display along with backlit pushbuttons.

Savant’s TrueImage Control technology has a neat interface that enables you to touch pictures of Smart Home items in order to be able to trigger instructions.

Simply touch the image of the actual light in the room you wish to control, and not only does the light in the room turn on/off or dim when pressed and held, but it also illuminates on the iPad confirming the command.
