BlackBerry PlayBook Gets Its First Public Demonstration

Yesterday at the Adobe MAX conference Adobe CTO, Kevin Lynch, demonstrated the BlackBerry PlayBook live to attendees. At first, as you’ll see in the video, it was a bit unclear which device he was using for his presentation, but then he revealed it was the newly introduced BlackBerry PlayBook (ETA: Q2 2011). After the revelation, Lynch invited onto the stage RIM’s co-CEO, Mike Lazaridis, to talk about how Adobe AIR integrates seamlessly into the PlayBook via the new SDK to bring the Internet in its full glory to the device. On that topic, Lazaridis, proclaims: “We’re not trying to dumb-down the Internet for a small mobile device. What we’re trying to do is bring up the performance and capability of the mobile device to the Internet.”
