Gotta give credit to Mvix for discovering and locking down a deal to sell Hong Kong based J&W’s super MINIX 890GX Mini-ITX motherboard in the US, Canada, and South America. Why super? Check out the following spec. highlights for this $199 board below — in particular the USB 3.0 ports, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, and RAID 0/1/5/10 configuration options for its 4 x SATA III 6.0GB/s connectors. Mvix Launches J&W’s Minix 890GX-USB3.0 Mini-ITX Motherboard in Americas

Chantilly, VA. Aug 30th, 2010: Mvix, a market leader in HD-media technology, will distribute the much-awaited, acclaimed J&W’s Minix 890GX-USB3.0 Mini-ITX motherboard in the US, Canada and South American market. The graphics performance is further enhanced by the onboard 128MB high-speed DDR3 sideport memory. Based on socket AM3, MINIX™ 890GX-USB3 supports the AMD® Phenom™ II series, Athlon™ II series and Sempron™-100 series processors. More excitingly, the motherboard support the exclusive, Windows® based Core-unlocking utility – the Just Unlock Core (JUC) Technology which is capable to unlock the “hidden core” of the processors, a free and user-friendly “CPU upgrade” tool for users.
