Sonos Prepping an iPad App for ‘Late August’ Release

Sonos’ upcoming iPad app is probably one of the best uses for a tablet I’ve seen to date (next to Elgato’s new EyeTV app) to control media in the home. The Sonos app will allow users to easily navigate and select songs from their iTunes library, listen to Internet radio, and tap into subscription music services like Napster and Rhapsody. Once a music feed is selected, users can then easily assign which location(s) music should play and how loud. It should go without saying that all this functionality is handled via touch and using the device’s on-screen keyboard and requires a Sonos multi-room system. ETA: August 2010. Video demo attached below.
